How to replace the water pump pulley on 2008 Cadillac DTS?

You first need to ease tension on the water pump Drive Belt at its outer part to remove that Drive Belt from the drive pulley. Remove the end cap from the intake Camshaft first then use the power steering and Water Pump Pulley remover (J 38825) to disconnect the water pump drive pulley from the intake Camshaft shaft. Put the water pump drive pulley onto the intake Camshaft and set up the Water Pump Pulley installer (J 38823) tool. Insert the tool until its base contacts the Camshaft at the right position. Replace the Camshaft end cap now and fasten it at 2 n.m (18 lb in). Afterward install the water pump Drive Belt.
