  A: To replace the engine oil and transmission fluid cooler in 6l50/6l80/6l90 automatic transmission, start by unbolting the A/C Condenser mounting bolts to move the condenser in order to work at the oil cooler. Please use the cooler quick connect tool (J 41623-B) to remove the Transmission Oil Cooler (TOC) lines from the Transmission Oil Cooler, and then remove the toc lines from the toc retainer clip. Next, use the 1/2 inch quick connect release tool (DT-47731) to remove the Engine Oil Cooler (EOC) lines from the cooler and remove the eoc lines from the cooler retainer clips. Then, remove the cooler mounting bolts and remove the cooler as well. For installation, set the cooler back into place and install the cooler mounting bolts with a tightening torque of 5 n.m (44 lb in). Attach the eoc lines to the cooler and attach the eoc lines to the eoc retaining clips and then the toc line to the Transmission Oil Cooler and then attach the toc line retention clip to the Transmission Oil Cooler. Lastly, reposition and mount the condenser.
