How to replace the front floor console cup holder on 2008 Cadillac STS?

The first step to replace front floor console Cup Holder demands removal of the Center Console. As the first step remove the front hvac duct and its two screws holding the side impact brace. Start by removing screws which secure the center hvac duct before proceeding to unscrew the Cup Holder screws from the console and Cup Holder to console top screws. The Cup Holder installation requires you to first attach it to the console top with screws while applying torque to 2 n.m (18 lb in). The Cup Holder needs to be secured to the console by using screws while tightening them to a torque of 2 n.m (18 lb in). After screwing in the center hvac duct screws to 2 n.m (18 lb in), install the front hvac duct as the final step. Finish installation by attaching the impact brace with screws before tightening them to a torque of 2 n.m (18 lb in). After that reinstall the Center Console.
