The procedure for replacing the front floor console cup holder starts with disassembling the front floor console first. Remove the front HVAC duct with its screws then proceed to remove the screws that secure the side impact brace before dealing with the center HVAC duct screws. First disconnect the electrical connections from the HVAC duct assembly before you remove all screws which hold the cup holder to the console and to the console top. Start installation by tightening screws that fasten the cup holder onto the console top until they reach 2 Nm (18 lb in). Lastly secure the cup holder to the console through screws that need to be tightened to 2 Nm (18 lb in). Reattach all electrical connections of the HVAC duct assembly before installing the duct assembly within the console structure. First secure the center HVAC duct using screws and set the screws to 2 Nm (18 lb in) torque followed by installation of the front HVAC duct then tightening the screws which fasten the side impact brace at 2 Nm (18 lb in). Reinstall the front floor console as the last step.
