The mass air flow (MAF) sensor requires gentle handling to avoid damage because contact with the sensing elements should be prevented together with dropping incidents or causing screen damage on the air inlet opening. Also avoid letting solvents or lubricants touch the sensing elements. A soap solution needs small application to support maf/imt sensor installation processes. Extract the maf/imt sensor while carefully handling it out of the air cleaner housing duct then discard its gasket. First install a new maf/imt sensor gasket before gently fitting the maf/imt sensor into the air cleaner housing duct. Secure the maf/imt sensor with screws while tightening them to 4 n.m (35 lb in). Afterward, reattach the electrical connector to the maf/imt sensor.
