Begin the sensor replacement process by removing the intake manifold sight shield. The installation begins by disconnecting the IMT sensor electrical connector before removing the IMT sensor component. Insert the new sensor only if it matches the correct part number meant for the system. Apply sealer to the sensor threads before installing the IMT sensor while tightening it to 20 N.m (15 lb ft). Connect IMT sensor electrical connector back to its housing after reinstalling the intake manifold sight shield.
