  A: Start replacement of the brake caliper by lifting your vehicle up and putting it on stands. Record where the front wheels sit at their mounting points and carefully take off the wheels. Take the brake hose fitting free by removing attached washers before disconnecting the hose and plugging both caliper and brake hose openings to avoid fluid leakage and contamination. First loosen the bolts connecting the caliper to the Steering Knuckle and disassemble the caliper set. Put silicone brake lubricant gm p/n 89021536, acdelco p/n 89021537, canadian p/n 89021538 or equivalent on the slide pins.
