    A: In order to replace the knock sensor (KS), first, lift and support the vehicle in such a way that it is possible to replace the KS with its help through the wheelhouse. Relocate the left wheelhouse liner and then remove the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the KS. Next, extract KS retaining bolt and then extract KS from engine block. In the case of the installation, position the electrical terminals of the KS rearward when reinstalling same back on the engine block along with its retaining bolt, by topping up the KS bolt 25 N.m (18 lb ft). Reconnect the engine wiring harness electric connector to the KS then install the left wheelhouse liner, and finally lift the vehicle.
