When installing the park brake cable you should first fit it into the backing plate followed by rear Brake Shoe installation then attach it to the rear Leaf Spring retaining bracket while tightening the retaining nut to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Proceed by mounting the park brake cable onto the left rear frame rail and fasten it with retaining bolts while tightening them to 9 n.m (80 lb in).
