How to replace the rear brake line on 2008 Chevrolet Colorado?

Before working on the rear brake hose you need to lift the vehicle and examine the retaining clip's condition. Replace the clip if it is defective with a brand new one. Separate the bracket retaining clip by hand. Twist off the Brake Line from the brake hose using a back up tool while applying a rubber plug or cap to the exposed brake pipe. First detach the Brake Line to the left Wheel Cylinder and then detach the one to the right Wheel Cylinder while adding rubber plugs to seal each line. Take off the brake hose bolt and bring out the rear brake hose. Secure the brake hose to the Brake Line by screwing the mounting bolt to 17 n.m (13 lb ft). Put the rear brake hose retaining clip in place and secure it on the mounting bracket with its mounting bolt where you should additionally tighten to 19 n.m (14 lb ft). Press the left Brake Line rubber plug off and join the brake hose securely with 19 n.m (14 lb ft) torque settings. Reposition the right Brake Line the same way before you fill the master cylinder reservoir and bleed the brake system. Finally, lower the vehicle.
