How to replace the rear brake line on Chevrolet Colorado?

You should inspect the rear brake hose retaining clip when raising the vehicle to see if it needs replacement due to flattening or damage. Using a back up wrench securely detach the Brake Line from the brake hose while simultaneously capping the exposed brake pipe fitting with rubber plug or cap to minimize fluid-loss and protect against contamination. Begin replacement by covering the Brake Line followed by disconnecting the left and right Wheel Cylinder lines then removing the mounting bolt for the brake hose to remove the rear brake hose. First tighten the mounting bolt to the brake hose or brake lines by hand until specification before securing it at 17 nm (13 lb ft). Then install the Brake Line onto the brake hose before proceeding with the mounting bolt tightening process. Fasten the newly installed retaining clip on the rear brake hose mount while also attaching the mount bolt for assembly. Open the rubber plug from the left Brake Line and join it to the brake hose and torque up the fitting to 19 nm (14 lb ft). Bleed the brake system after filling the master cylinder reservoir if needed and repeat the process for the right Brake Line. After that complete the brake system bleed procedure and lower the vehicle.
