How to replace the front brake line on 2006 Chevrolet Colorado?

Raise your vehicle and take out the front tire and wheel to start replacing the front brake hose. Thoroughly remove all dirt particles from brake hose and pipe systems. Connect the brake pipe to the hose using a back up wrench and then place a plug or cap in the brake pipe fitting to prevent fluid leakages. Remove the brake pipe end from the frame at the brake hose and verify if the retaining clip shows signs of damage; replace it with a fresh part if it is deformed or cracked. Twist off the brake hose attachment point on the frame before taking out the bolt and gaskets from the brake caliper to remove the brake hose. Take off the copper gaskets from the brake hose fastener as they might adhere to either the brake caliper or bolt. Install new copper metal gaskets to the brake hose then fasten the brake caliper bolt to the caliper while tightening the brake hose bolt to 40 nm (32 ft. Lbs.). Insert the brake hose onto the brake pipe exposed fitting but avoid any unwanted hose twisting or suspension contact. Tighten the brake hose fitting with the back up wrench to 19 nm (14 ft. Lbs.) and check that the retaining clip fits correctly before adding the new brake pipe clip. Yield the hydraulic brake system fluid then put on the wheel tire combo and let the car sink to ground level.
