Begin the replacement by unscrewing the adjusting nut for the park brake followed by disconnecting the front park brake cable from the equalizer before eliminating the right park brake cable from its connections to both equalizer and the left frame rail retainers on short and long wheel base trucks. The installation of the right park brake cable requires removing two fasteners from the right park brake cable bracket and the retaining nut at the right spring bracket followed by removing the cable from its retaining bracket and crossmember. Proceed to remove the right park brake cable retaining bolts that are present on both the right rear frame rail and the rear brake shoes.
