How to replace the wheel hub and Wheel Speed Sensor assembly on 2006 Chevrolet Colorado?

Begin work by lifting the vehicle and taking off the front brake caliper before starting. Take off the abs speed sensor wiring harness connected to the upper Control Arm before removing the front bracket fastener and the bracket itself. Make markings at the speed sensor electrical connector points before removing it from its body position to prevent installation errors. To prevent suspension interference mark the speed sensor wiring harness location on the Steering Knuckle using white or bright colored paint then group all wires together. To access the wheel bearing unit take off 4 wheel drive Steering Knuckle components then remove hub and wheel bearing bracket bolts which lets you remove the assembly from the Steering Knuckle. Take the wheel bearing/hub to the brake rotor assembly off a flat surface by severing the bolt connection first and disconnecting the assembly from the brake rotor for cleaning. Establish the wheel bearing/hub assembly on the brake rotor before installing its bolts at 20 nm torque in a combined pattern. Use manual tools instead of air tools throughout the process. After adding the backing plate to the Steering Knuckle assembly put the wheel bearing and brake rotor components in place lining up the wiring harness with its reference point. Fasten brake rotor bolts to the hub unit at 125 nm torque while working without an air tool. Install the brake caliper mounting bracket with its bolts and tighten them to 129 ft. Lbs (175 Nm). A large screwdriver or pry bar helps you confirm the brake rotor position before you tighten the rotor bolts to 120 nm (88 ft. Lbs.). Fit the brake caliper assembly and strip off protective tape from the speed sensor wiring harness. Then bolt the wiring harness bracket on the upper Control Arm and fasten it using the front retaining bolt at 20 nm (14 ft. Lbs.). Put back the speed sensor wiring harness retainers then link the electrical connector to the Wheel Speed Sensor before setting it into the body and lowering the vehicle.
