2008 Chevrolet Corvette Body Control Module Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to replace the Body Control Module (BCM) on 2008 Chevrolet Corvette?
A: When replacing the Body Control Module turn off the ignition key to shield it from harmful electrical discharges and bcm internal malfunction. Disassemble the panel at the lower front floor right side before using your tool to unscrew bcm retaining screws. Take off the bcm by disconnecting its wiring from the bcm unit. Keep the Ignition Switch in off position during the setup process. Place the bcm on top of the multiuse bracket and then click in all its harness connectors. Place the three bcm retaining screws into their matching positions and fasten them to 2 n.m (18 lb in) torque setting. Finally, reinstall the kick-up panel. The bcm needs special setup when it goes into a new or replacement setup.
