How to replace the Lash Adjusters on 2008 Chevrolet Impala?

To remove the valve lifters, take off the lower Intake Manifold off first. Then remove the vale rocker arms and pushrods, always keeping in mind that the valve lifter guide bolts cannot be removed. Loosen the valve lifter guide bolts and slide off the valve lifter guides, and then remove the valve lifters off the guides. Degrease all gasket surfaces. For installation, the valve lifters will be coated in prelube; put them into the cylinder bores. Liberal application of thread lock to the valve lifter guides bolt threads before the installation of valves lifter guides. Perform tanking on the valve lifter guide bolts to 10 n.m (89 lb in) before having the valve rocker arms and the pushrods back in place. Lastly, screw in the lower Intake Manifold.
