  A: The first step to replace the condenser involves refrigerant recovery. First disconnect the compressor discharge hose nut along with the compressor discharge hose from the condenser before removing the Hood Latch and head lamp housing panel and radiator diagonal brace. Start by removing the bolts from both the upper radiator support and the support itself. Start by disconnecting the evaporator tube nut and tube from the condenser then unfasten the studs that connect the condenser inlet to outlets. Start the condenser replacement by unbolting the upper bracket bolt and bracket on the lh side then unfastening the condenser to radiator bolts before removing the condenser from inside the radiator. During new condenser installation, you should apply refrigerant oil to it. Screw the condenser into place on the radiator while tightening all bolts to 9 n.m (80 lb in). Secure the condenser lh upper bracket bolt and bracket at a torque of 9 n.m (80 lb in) before adding studs to the condenser inlet and outlets which should be tightened to 4.5 n.m (40 lb in). Use the evaporator tube and the evaporator tube nut to attach them to the condenser. Torque the nut to 28 n.m (21 lb ft). Install the upper radiator support bar with its bolts at 50 n.m torque (37 lb ft) followed by attaching the radiator diagonal brace then the head lamp housing panel and the Hood Latch. Secure the compressor discharge hose to the condenser using the compressor discharge hose nut, tighten the bolt to 16 n.m (12 lb ft) then execute a a/c system leak test based on j 39400-a.
