Install a rubber cap or plug on the open brake pipe ends to stop brake fluid escapes and contamination. The brake caliper assembly requires removal of its brake hose bolt followed by brake hose extraction from the vehicle but with careful removal of any metal gaskets from both brake caliper and brake hose ends and disposal of the copper gaskets. New copper gaskets must be used in this process, which should be applied to the brake hose and bolt before finally tightening the brake caliper bolt until torque reaches 44 n.m (33 lb ft). Begin installing the brake hose retaining bolt to the frame before tightening it to 20 n.m (18 lb ft) and taking off the brake pipe fitting's rubber cap or plug. Attach the brake pipe to its brake hose connection while tightening it to 20 n.m (18 lb ft). Afterward, top off the master cylinder reservoir. Bleed the hydraulic system next and finish by reinstalling the wheels and tires after lowering the vehicle.
