How to replace the rear brake caliper bracket on 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

You need to lift the vehicle and take out the tire assembly first to replace the rear Brake Caliper Bracket. The mechanic must secure the brake caliper assembly with heavy mechanic wire during installation except when the hydraulic brake hose is disconnected to avoid brake damage and leaks. Move the brake caliper to a safe place during inspection after taking the assembly apart from the rear of the vehicle. Take off front brake pads from the bracket then examine brake hardware components. Detach the Brake Pad retaining clips from the mounting bracket and proceed to take out its bolts that secure the brake caliper mounting bracket. Check the condition of the guide pin seals in the brake caliper mounting bracket then examine the brake rotor. Put guide pin seals onto the mounting bracket before cleaning guide pins and Brake Pad retaining clips using denatured alcohol for reuse and drying them with nongreasy filtered air. Apply high temperature silicone brake lubricant on the brake caliper guide pins but never apply it to the Brake Pad retaining clips. Use the caliper mounting bracket bolts to fasten the mounting bracket onto place before tightening them to 200 n.m (148 lb ft). Embed the rear brake hardware onto the mounting bracket first and apply the brake pads afterward. After putting back the brake caliper assembly, we install the tire wheel unit and let the car rest on the ground. End the process by applying gentle pressure to the brake pedal to let the brake pads touch the rotor surface.
