Caliper Mount

Raise the vehicle and take off both wheel and tire before replacing the rear Brake Caliper Bracket. Keep the brake caliper safe with mechanic's wire when you disconnect it from its mount and maintain hydraulic hose connection to stop brake fluid leaks. Move the brake caliper assembly to one side and check brake pads afterward you start disassembling the front brake pads from the bracket. Locate the Brake Pad retaining elements on the mounting bracket before taking it off by disassembling the mounting bracket retaining bolts. Examine the brake rotor through the guide pin seals that you extract from the brake caliper mounting bracket. Install the guide pin seals to the bracket and clean the guide pins and brake pads clips with denatured alcohol when reusing them before blowing them dry with filtered air. Brush high temperature silicone brake caliper guide pins with the lubricant and install the brake caliper mounting bracket using the mounting bracket bolts which you should tighten up to 148 ft. Lbs. (200 Nm). After installing Brake Caliper Bracket parts you should place rear brake pads onto it and add the rear brake caliper back. Install the tire and wheel before lowering the vehicle and gently pumping the brake while controlling the pedal to seat the pads.

Start by raising your vehicle before supporting it while removing the tire then wheel assembly. First disconnect the brake caliper guide pin bolts while keeping the brake caliper hose connected. After that remove the brake caliper and suspend it with heavy mechanics wire or equivalent. After marking the Brake Pad wear sensors positions you should remove the inner and outer brake pads before taking out Brake Pad shims and Brake Caliper Bracket bolts. The next task involves uninstalling the Brake Caliper Bracket . Follow this sequence for mounting the brak caliper bracket and torque the Brake Caliper Bracket bolts to 200 nm (148 lb ft). Begin by placing Brake Pad shims then install the inner and outer brake pads while maintaining the proper alignment of wear sensors. The brake caliper should be attached to the bracket through brake caliper guide pin bolts receiving 31 nm (23 lb ft) of torque while tire and wheel assembly installment brings the vehicle to its lowered position.

Start by installing the guide pin seals on the mounting bracket.

Tighten them to 150 Nm (110 ft. lbs.).

Inspect the brake rotor.

Remove the rear brake caliper assembly and relocate it to the side, then inspect the brake pads.

Raise the vehicle and remove the tire and wheel assembly.

Inspect the brake pads and remove them from the mounting bracket, focusing on the inboard brake pad.

Install the brake caliper mounting bracket and secure it with the caliper mounting bracket bolts, tightening them to 200 Nm (148 ft. lbs.).

Clean them with denatured alcohol and dry them with non-lubricated, filtered air.

Install the brake caliper mounting bracket.

Reinstall the rear brake caliper assembly, put the tire and wheel assembly back on, lower the vehicle, and pump the brake pedal slowly and firmly to seat the brake pads.

Inspect the brake caliper assembly and support it with heavy mechanic's wire or an equivalent whenever it is separated from its mount while the hydraulic flexible brake hose is still connected.

Reinstall the rear brake caliper assembly, then the tire and wheel assembly, lower the vehicle, and pump the brake pedal slowly and firmly to seat the brake pads.

Remove the inner and outer brake pads, noting the location of the wear sensors for correct installation, followed by the brake pad shims and the brake caliper bracket bolts.

Install the brake caliper mounting bracket and secure it with the caliper mounting bracket bolts, tightening them to 150 Nm (110 ft. lbs.).

Take off the bracket itself and remove the guide pin seals from the brake caliper mounting bracket.
