How to replace the front brake calipers on 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

To replace the main front brake caliper, you first lift the vehicle and then remove the tires and wheel assembly. Then take out the front brake hose bolt and replace with a plug into the front brake caliper hose to reduce the loss or contamination of brake fluid. Discard away the metal/copper gaskets and install new gaskets made of copper. Take out the front brake caliper guide pin bolts, then remove the front brake caliper from the mounting bracket. If the brake caliper guide pin will be re-used, use a denatured alcohol mop to clean the hole and dry it with non- lubricated air filtered. Use high temperature silicone brake lubricant on the brake caliper guide pin not touching brake pad hardware. Mount the front brake caliper on the mounting bracket by tightening the leading bolt near the bleed screw. Mount the guide pin bolts to the front brake caliper, and tighten them at 64 n.m (47 lb ft). Use a new copper gaskets for the front consolation bolt of brake caliper and install the front brake hose bolt and gaskets, tightening them with the bolt to 40 n.m (30 lb ft). Bleed the hydraulic brake system after which replace the tire and wheel assembly and lower the vehicle.
