How to replace the rear brake calipers on 2009 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

First, one must lift and secure the vehicle in order to replace the rear brake caliper. Take off the tire and wheel assembly. Then take out the brake hose fitting bolt and throw away the brake hose fitting gaskets from the brake hose fitting and secure the brake hose fitting cap to avoid losing brake fluid and contaminating the brake system. Then, take out the brake caliper guide pin bolts and remove the brake caliper . For installing, position the brake caliper back, and install your brake caliper guide pin bolts by tightening 31 Nm (23 lb ft). Apply new brake hose fitting gaskets to the brake hose fitting bolt and bolt it on together with the two new gaskets to the brake hose fitting. Clamp the brake hose assembly to the brake caliper inlet port, and fasten the fitting bolt to 54 Nm (40 lb ft). Bleed the hydraulic brake system, then put the tire and wheel assembly back before lowering the vehicle.
