How to replace the rear crankshaft seal on 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer?

The crankshaft rear oil seal replacement process starts with transmission removal followed by Flywheel removal while protecting both crankshaft and seal bore components. A proper tool should be used to pull out the crankshaft rear oil seal from the rear oil seal housing. Follow installation instructions by applying the plastic installation sleeve which comes with your new seal. Install the crankshaft rear oil seal with the rear seal installer (J 44227) then remove this tool from the seal installation (J 44227). The installation sleeve should be thrown away once the seal becomes installed. After installing the transmission you should place the Flywheel back in place.
