How to replace the rear suspension sway bar link on 2008 GMC Canyon?

The replacement process for the rear suspension Sway Bar Link starts by raising a vehicle and supporting its rear axle at ride height. You should never grip the boot of the Sway Bar Link but you should use the hex feature located at the stud end to protect the boot during installation. Drain the upper and lower nuts from the Sway Bar Link before extracting the link piece itself. When installing the component utilize the hex feature located at the end of the stud because boot damage can occur otherwise. Fasten the new Sway Bar Link with its mounting nuts while tightening the lower mounting nut to 44 n.m (32 lb ft) and the upper mounting nut to 44 n.m (32 lb ft). To finish the process lower the vehicle after removing the axle support.
