How to replace the rear sway bar link in the suspension on 2009 GMC Canyon?

The first step for Sway Bar Link replacement in the rear suspension requires vehicle lift-up and suspension axle support at the correct height. Using the hex feature located on the end of the sway bar stud will protect the boot material instead of touching the boot directly. The Sway Bar Link installation process starts by removing the upper nut and then the lower nut and finally removing the shaft. You should use the hex feature built into the stud to protect the boot when performing this installation. Fans should install the Sway Bar Link before tightening its mounting nuts until they reach 44 nm (32 lb ft) for both nuts. The lower nut should get tightened first then the upper nut. Lower the vehicle after removing the axle support as the final step of the process.
