How to replace the front cross-member for the steering gear on 2008 GMC Envoy?

In order to change the Front Steering Gear Crossmember, lift and hold the car up. Take out the engine shield and rear lower arm bracket bolts. Disassemble the steering gear crossmember, and then reassemble the crossmember with the mounting bolts in place. Re-fit the engine shield and bring the vehicle down.
