  A: A mechanic must begin exhaust system insulator hanger and bracket servicing and repair work by properly supporting the vehicle through a lifting process. Start by applying appropriate lubrication to the exhaust hanger rod and then take out the exhaust hanger from the rear suspension support bracket bolt. The exhaust hanger must be released from the exhaust pipe hanger rod by pulling on it in the outward direction before removing the rear exhaust hanger from the hanger bracket nut using lubricated rear hanger rod. Installation of the rear exhaust hanger begins by applying soap to the hanger rod and the back exhaust diameter for ease of fitting the rear exhaust hanger over the pipe hanger rod before positioning the hanger to its hosting bracket. Drive the hanger bracket nut to 30 Nm (22 lb ft) when installing the rear exhaust hanger. After applying soapy solution on both ends of the exhaust pipe hanger rod and inner center hanger diameter, place the exhaust hanger onto the rod and fasten it into the rear suspension support bracket bolt with a torque of 30 Nm (22 lb ft) before the vehicle drop.
