The procedure for exhaust hanger replacement starts by elevating the vehicle with support equipment. The bolt connecting the center exhaust hanger to the rear suspension support bracket must be removed first. Use appropriate lubricant on the exhaust pipe hanger rod before extracting the hanger by pulling at its center point on the rod. After removing the nut that secures the rear exhaust hanger to its bracket you should provide lubricant to the tail pipe hanger rod and then pull the rear exhaust hanger away from the rod. Apply a mixture of soapy solution to both the tail pipe hanger rod and the inner diameter of the rear exhaust hanger before pressing the rear exhaust hanger onto the tail pipe hanger rod and placing it to its proper position on the rear exhaust hanger bracket. When installing the rear exhaust hanger bracket nut to its place, tighten the nut to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.). Wash the exhaust pipe hanger rod and inner diameter of the center exhaust hanger with soap before placing the center hanger over the pipe rod for securing using an 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.) bolt to the rear suspension support bracket.

Service operations on Exhaust Pipe/muffler hanger must begin by lifting and securing the entire vehicle. First separate the Exhaust Hanger from the rear suspension support bracket bolt while using suitable lubricant on the exhaust rod to help remove it. The Exhaust Hanger should be popped free from the Exhaust Pipe hanger rod when pulling outward. The rear Exhaust Hanger to hanger bracket nut must also be removed. You must repeat the previous lubrication process on the rear hanger rod before starting to detach the rear Exhaust Hanger from the tail pipe hanger rod by pulling it outward. To perform installation apply soap solution to both the rear hanger rod and inner diameter of the rear Exhaust Hanger before pushing the hanger into position over the tail pipe hanger rod which should be fit into the rear Exhaust Hanger bracket. Fasten the rear Exhaust Hanger to hanger bracket nut through a metric torque of 30 n.m (22 lb ft). Begin by applying soapy solution to the hanger rod of the Exhaust Pipe and the interior of the center Exhaust Hanger followed by inserting the hanger over the rod before mounting it onto the rear suspension support bracket bolt. Secure the bolt at 30 n.m (22 lb ft) tension and then lower the vehicle.

Raise and support the vehicle.

Remove the rear exhaust hanger to hanger bracket nut.

Apply a soapy solution to the exhaust pipe hanger rod and the inner diameter of the center exhaust hanger, press the center exhaust hanger over the exhaust pipe hanger rod, and install the bolt, tightening it to 30 Nm (22 ft. lbs.) before lowering the vehicle.

Raise and support the vehicle.

First, raise and support the vehicle.

Apply lubricant to the rear hanger rod.

Install the rear exhaust hanger to hanger bracket nut and tighten it to 30 Nm (22 lb ft).

Remove the nut securing the rear exhaust hanger to the rear exhaust hanger bracket, apply lubricant to the tail pipe hanger rod, and pull outward on the rear exhaust hanger to remove it.

Remove the nut securing the rear exhaust hanger to the rear exhaust hanger bracket, apply lubricant to the tail pipe hanger rod, and pull outward on the rear exhaust hanger to remove it.
