Before beginning the inflatable restraint side impact sensor replacement work start by disconnecting the negative Battery Cable. Start by removing the lower trim piece from the center pillar followed by disconnecting the side Air Bag Sensor connector. Start by removing the side Air Bag Sensor mounting bolt followed by removing the side Air Bag Sensor itself. Start by installing the side Air Bag Sensor then fasten it with the mounting bolt at 10 nm (89 lb in) torque. Install the lower trim to the center pillar after attaching the side Air Bag Sensor connector. Reconnect the negative Battery Cable to finish the sensor replacement process.
