2009 Chevrolet Aveo Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the front disc brake pads on 2009 Chevrolet Aveo?
A: You should start by raising and securely supporting your vehicle before working on it. Note the wheel's placement to its hub before taking out the front wheel for replacement. You do not need to detach the brake caliper to tend to the braking shoes. Pull upward on the caliper Piston housing immediately after you remove the lower bolt of the caliper assembly retaining frame. Treat brake dust with care while doing this work. Check the amount of pad material remaining through direct measurement of the linings. Guide the new brake pads into their spots inside the caliper, but check the Piston seal and avoid damage while pushing the Piston toward the back of the caliper. Insert the lower caliper bolt through the Piston housing and tightening it to 27 nm. Place the wheels back onto their marks and put the wheels on when the vehicle returns to its regular position.
