How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S 2) on 2009 Chevrolet Equinox?

Starting the replacement of heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S 2) requires that you lift the vehicle. Before disconnecting the ho2s 2 harness connection check for silicone products because these substances will cause ho2s contamination. The sensor removal process must start with liquid penetrant application. Extract the ho2s 2 from its Exhaust Pipe position. The new ho2s 2 requires application of a nickel-based anti-seize compound on the threads which should not include silicone content during installation. Place the ho2s 2 into position and torque it to a value of 42 nm (31 lb ft). To reconnect the ho2s 2 harness connector fully push it into place until a clicking noise is heard and test a positive connection through backward pulling. Mold in place the ho2s 2 harness pigtail connector so it remains safe and steady against the chassis.
