How to replace the brake master cylinder on 2009 Chevrolet Impala?

Before replacing the Brake Master Cylinder disconnect the Brake Fluid Level Sensor connector and master cylinder brake pipes through securing rubber caps or plugs to the ends of the brake pipe fittings as a defense against fluid loss and contamination. After plugging open brake pipe ends you should remove the master cylinder mounting nuts to pull out the master cylinder from the vehicle while draining entire brake fluid from the reservoir. Before installation between the vacuum Brake Booster conduct a bench bleeding procedure on the master cylinder afterward secure its mounting nuts to 33 nm (24 lb ft). Attach the brake pipes to the master cylinder after inserting plugs into the brake pipe ends before tightening the fittings at 18 nm (13 lb ft). Reconnect the electrical connector to the Brake Fluid Level Sensor and finish bleeding the brake system after completion.
