The rocker arms need bolt removal followed by pushrods which require inspection because intake push rods measure 147.51 mm (5.81 in) and exhaust push rods measure 154.87 mm (6.1 in). The pushrod ends should receive prelube coating prior to installation while the insertion into the lifter bore must be complete. Prelube should be used to coat all surfaces where friction occurs on the rocker arms. The presence of reconditioned Cylinder Head components or its parts requires the installation of shims (88894006) below the valve Rocker Arm pedestals. Follow installation of the rocker arms with the attaching of Rocker Arm bolts that need to be tightened to 34 nm (25 lb ft). You must install the valve Rocker Arm covers after concluding all previous installation steps.
