How to replace the rear brake disc (JH7) on 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500?

A safe vehicle position can be reached by releasing the park brake first and then safely raising the vehicle before the replacement of the rear brake rotor (JH7). Start by removing the tire along with wheel assembly before separating the hub from rotor assembly while making note of the rotor's positioning to the hub. Place the hub and rotor assembly under a hydraulic press to drive out the wheel studs because this action will separate the hub from the rotor. You should align the hub and rotor before putting a new wheel stud through the thread and adding 4 washers before tightening a lug nut to bring the stud deeply into place. Check that the stud has reached complete insertion before taking out the lug nut together with washers. After hub and rotor assembly reinstallation the vehicle requires placement of the tire and wheel assembly and subsequent vehicle lowering. When cleaning the new rotor friction surfaces always use denatured alcohol or an equivalent brake cleaner but never use oil-based solvents because they can harm the brake lining.
