  • Q: How to replace the Heated Oxygen Sensor (Sensor 1) on 2010 Buick Lucerne?
    A: Begin the sensor replacement of heated Oxygen Sensor (Sensor 1) by first removing the connector position assurance (CPA) retainer then disconnecting the heater Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) electrical connector . Take out the ho2s by first removing its electrical connector from the ignition coil bracket then dissembling it from the Exhaust Manifold. It is crucial to coat the threads of an installed old sensor with anti-seize compound p/n 12377953 or equivalent during new or service replacement sensor installation. The new sensor arrives with special anti-seize compound already applied to its threads. Insert the ho2s into the Exhaust Manifold space then secure it with a torque value of 42 nm (31 lb ft). Follow this by plugging in the ho2s electrical connector followed by the cpa retainer installation and completing with the Oxygen Sensor electrical connector attachment to the ignition coil bracket.
