You should apply prelube to both ends of the pushrods then thoroughly position them inside the lifter bore before installation. Apply prelube to both the surfaces that contact each other on the rocker arms. The presence of reconditioning on Cylinder Head components requires installation of shims (88894006) beneath the valve Rocker Arm pedestals. Begin by installing the rocker arms then the Rocker Arm bolts. The last step in this process includes the replacement of the valve Rocker Arm covers.
