How to replace the inlet power steering hose on 2010 Cadillac CTS?

The first step to replace the power steering gear inlet pipe/hose demands removing the fuel injector sight shield. Position drain pans underneath the vehicle before draining the maximum power steering fluid from the reservoir. Start with the removal of Power Steering Pump pulley followed by the front air deflector then the front compartment lower noise shield. The first step to replace the power steering gear inlet hose is to disconnect the Power Steering Pump inlet fitting while removing the power steering inlet hose latch plate bolt followed by the inlet/outlet pipe retainers (1, 3). The power steering gear inlet hose needs removal from the vehicle. Start the installation of new power steering gear inlet hose by manually applying torque to all bolts before applying final values. Fasten the power steering gear inlet and outlet pipe retainer bolts (1, 3) with a torque of 10 nm (89 lb in). Secure the power steering gear inlet hose latch plate bolt by tightening it to 22.5 nm (17 lb ft). Screw the Power Steering Pump together with the power steering gear inlet hose fitting and torque it to 34 nm (25 lb ft). The operator should first clean excess fluid from the components while also removing drain pans followed by reinstalling front compartment lower noise shield together with front air deflector and Power Steering Pump pulley. As a concluding step, install the fuel injector sight shield and complete power steering system filling and bleeding.
