How to replace the starter motor (LLT) on 2010 Cadillac STS?

In order to replace the Starter motor (LLT), please turn off the ignition and remove the battery negative cable. Then, take out the left Catalytic Converter. Disconnect the Starter solenoid electrical connector from the Starter, also remove the Starter terminal nut and the battery positive cable from the Starter. Then, release the Starter-motor bolts and the Starter motor itself. For installation, first, install the Starter motor and of importance, install the Starter motor mounting bolts and tighten them to 50 nm (37 lb ft). Reconnect the battery positive cable to the Starter, and install the Starter terminal then tighten to 13 nm (115 lb in). Lastly, install the left Catalytic Converter, attach the electrical connector to the Starter solenoid, and install the left Catalytic Converter.
