How to replace the water pump (LF1/LLT) on 2010 Cadillac STS?

You need to use the cooling system draining and filling (Static Fill) (GE 47716) device to empty the cooling system before working on the Water Pump (LF1/LLT) replacement. Take off the generator Drive Belt first from the system. Attach the en 46104 Water Pump Pulley holding tool to hold the pulley in place. Then remove the Water Pump Pulley bolts and take off the pulley. Take off Water Pump bolts and remove the Water Pump unit by discarding the worn seal. Thoroughly clean both faces of the Water Pump base. Install a new Water Pump seal before putting in the Water Pump and tighten the Water Pump bolts to 10 nm (89 lb in). Fix the Water Pump Pulley over the en 46104 holder to properly place it and torque the bolts to 12 nm (106 lb in). End by adding the generator belt back and filling the cooling system through the static fill part number ge 47716.
