2010 Chevrolet Aveo Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the rear wheel cylinder on 2010 Chevrolet Aveo?
A: Before working on the rear brake cylinder you need to lift and position the vehicle with proper support. Following Brake Drum removal you need to take out both brake shoe components. Before disconnecting the Brake Line and fixing the opening use clean tools to remove dirt from the Wheel Cylinder Brake Line inlet the bolt and the pilot. Handle brake fluid with care as it causes eye and skin discomfort; flush eyes with water while washing with soap and water for skin contact and check with a doctor after swallowing. Severely loosen the Wheel Cylinder bolt to backing plate and carefully push the Wheel Cylinder out from the backing plate without harming the bleeder valve and its cap. Insert the Wheel Cylinder onto the backing plate by hand tighten it up to 8 nm (71 lb in), hook up the Brake Line to the Wheel Cylinder and torque it to 16 nm (12 lb ft). Install all parts starting with the brake shoe and lining until you place the Brake Drum correctly. Afterward, perform brake bleeding procedure.
