• Q: How to replace the brake shoes on 2010 Chevrolet Aveo?

  A: First, remove the Brake Drum to replace the brake shoes. Next, remove the lower return spring as well as relieve the pressure on the upper return spring by prying out the upper connection end from the leading shoe. Then remove the connecting link spring and connecting link together with adjusting lever as well as upper return spring and adjuster. Remove the trailing shoe hold-down spring and cap, the trailing shoe hold-down pin, and the trailing shoe. Do this again for the leading shoe by taking off the hold-down spring, cap and pin in a parallel way.
