2010 Chevrolet Camaro Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the power vacuum brake booster on 2010 Chevrolet Camaro?
A: First disconnect electrical connector from the power brake booster vacuum sensor when available. Also remove the check valve and hose assembly of the power vacuum brake booster then keep them separate. First take out the master cylinder and then unscrew the brake booster pushrod retainer bolt along with its retainer. Take off the brake booster pushrod from its pin before unbolting and removing the power vacuum brake booster unit. Put the power vacuum brake booster back into its place while connecting the brake pedal assembly nuts and tightening them to 17 Nm (13 lb ft). Fit the brake booster pushrod to the brake pedal pivot pin and add the brake booster pushrod retainer. Fasten it with the brake booster pushrod retainer bolt after you tighten it to 9 Nm (80 lb in). Rejoin the power brake booster check valve unit and hose while also attaching the vacuum sensor electric wire when present. Finally reinstall the master cylinder.
