To replace the Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose/Pipe on the LNF, one should first remove the charge air cooler inlet pipe. Next, slowly lift the surge tank while making sure that the cooling system is not hot and has no pressure therein to prevent injury due to boiling coolant. Take off the surge tank inlet hose from the surge tank using J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers and then remove from the engine. For installation, connect a new surge tank inlet hose to the engine and fasten it with the hose clamp using J 38185. Next, connect the hose to the surge tank and then fasten it again using the hose clamp. Finally, reinstall the initial pipe for the charge air cooler, and fill the cooling system as required.
