To replace the Radiator Surge Tank Inlet Hose/Pipe for the LE5 and L61 engines (2.2L), you should start by removing the intake manifold cover and the air cleaner outlet resonator. Remove carefully the surge tank cap with caution to avoid injury due to boiling coolant in the system when it's not under much pressure. Using J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers, relocate the surge tank inlet hose clamp and remove the surge tank inlet hose from the massive inflow tank and the engine. When installing, attach the new surge tank inlet hose to the engine and to the surge tank and tie both ends using the hose clamp included J 38185. Replace the air cleaner outlet resonator and the intake manifold cover back. Lastly, refill the cooling system where necessary.
