2010 Chevrolet Cobalt Parts Questions & Experts Answers

  • Q: How to replace the fuel level sensor on 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt?
A: The replacement of the Fuel Level Sensor begins with taking out the Fuel Pump module first. Vak the pressure sensor in both locations with clockwise motion until you hear an audible click followed by lifting the sensor to clear the bucket. Unplug the module cover electrical connector which connects to the Fuel Level Sensor before removing the Fuel Level Sensor electrical connector wire assembly from the fuel pipe area. Press the tabs on the Fuel Level Sensor retention to separate the bucket-mounted sensor tabs before pulling the sensor upward from the bucket. Sliding the Fuel Level Sensor downward into the module bucket while making sure all retaining tabs are completely connected should be done during installation. The Fuel Level Sensor electrical connector wiring should be positioned around the fuel pipe before connecting the electrical connector to the module cover. The pressure sensor must find its place through the bucket opening before a gentle push to fix it before adding the Fuel Pump module.
