    Q:
How to replace the Fuel Level Sensor (RPO NT7) on Chevrolet Cobalt? Posted by Customer
    A:
The replacement of Fuel Level Sensor (RPO NT7) requires starting with Fuel Pump module removal of the Fuel Pressure Regulator retainers . The Fuel Pressure Regulator should be moved slightly from its position within the module before the Fuel Level Sensor electrical connector can be detached from the module cover. First move the Fuel Pressure Regulator out from the module slightly before using a small pick to unlock the Fuel Level Sensor electrical connector retainer and detach both wires from the cover of the module. After disconnecting the Fuel Pressure Regulator wire connector you should remove the Fuel Pressure Regulator. You must push the retaining tabs located on the fuel sensor in order to disengage them from the bucket of the module and then pull it upward so the sensor comes out. To install the sensor position it into the bucket while pushing downward until the retaining tabs engage properly. Installing the Fuel Pressure Regulator partially before attaching its wire connector to the regulator. Connect the Fuel Level Sensor electrical connector to the module cover while ensuring the electrical connector retainer fully engages its position. Drop the Fuel Pressure Regulator down to its complete position in the module while taking care to verify that the retainers lock the module securely.
