The proper replacement of an engine oil and Oil Filter begins with putting the vehicle on a suitable stand while elevating it. A drain pan needs placement beneath the oil Drain Plug before removing this plug to allow total oil drainage. You should install the oil pan Drain Plug while using a torque of 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.). A 32 mm (1 1/4 inch) socket or an Oil Filter wrench must be utilized for Oil Filter cap removal by gripping the outside diameter and never use an open-end wrench on the hex. Start the procedure by unscrewing the Oil Filter and filter cap before breaking the filter free from the cap. Start by mounting a freshly installed Oil Filter to the cap before inserting both the cap and filter. Apply a torque of 25 nm (18 ft. Lbs.) maximum to the Oil Filter cap since excessive force could cause damage which leads to leaking oil; properly seat the cap. Lower the vehicle after securing a new filter in position and carry out oil engine filling.

You should support the vehicle with the proper tools while placing the drain pan under the oil Drain Plug to replace engine oil and filter. The hex shape on top of the Oil Filter cap should be opened with an Oil Filter wrench or a 32 mm (1 1/4 inch) socket instead of using an open end wrench to remove both the filter cap and the filter. The process to replace engine oil and filter requires raising a supported vehicle on suitable stands first. Add cleaning engine oil with 5w30 classification to the oil-ring on the Oil Filter cap followed by new Oil Filter application to the same filter cap . Tighten both the new Oil Filter cap along with the filter into place while avoiding excessive torque force to prevent potential oil leakage through damaged parts. You should utilize the en-4487 - Oil Filter wrench to tighten the Oil Filter cap until it reaches full seating but never exceed 25 nm (18 lb ft). Oil content should be added to the engine before completion.

Install the new filter to the cap and then install the oil filter cap with the filter.

Remove the oil pan drain plug and allow the oil to drain completely.

Attach the NEW oil filter to the cap.

A 32 mm (1 1/4 in) socket or an oil filter wrench.

Tighten until fully seated, without exceeding 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
