The first step to replace the engine oil and Oil Filter begins with proper vehicle suspension followed by drain pan placement beneath the oil Drain Plug. The drain pan needs position underneath the oil Drain Plug before you remove it to let all oil drain out entirely. When the drain process ends you need to reinstall the oil pan Drain Plug then turn it to 25 n.m (18 lb ft). Lower the vehicle while you should not use an open-end wrench to grasp the hex on top of the Oil Filter cap. A 32 mm (1 1/4 in) socket or Oil Filter wrench needs to be used for Oil Filter cap and filter removal before you detach the filter from its cap. Secure the new Oil Filter onto the specified position on the cap and reassemble both components making sure not to exceed the recommended torque to prevent oil-related damage.
