How to replace the RH Differential Cover and seal on 2010 Chevrolet Corvette?

In order to replace the Differential carrier cover and seal on the right side, start by taking out the rear wheel drive shaft on the right followed by the right side Muffler assembly. Drain the Differential fluid and prop up the Differential assembly to take out the right Differential mount along with the retaining bolts to remove the Differential cover. Remove the axle seal (1, 4) and bolt (DT-47596) into the right cover, securing it tightly into the bearing cup. Placing the j 45124 over the dt-47596 , tolerate that the legs get a good fit, then bolt of the furnished bolt, nut thrust, and washer, whilst tightening the nut to disengage the bearing cup and shim. Mark or tag the shims (1, 2) for assembly and also measure the new Differential cover bore dimension with a vernier caliper and a straight edge and record it as value (A). Measure the old Differential cover bore dimension in the same way recording value (B) then (B - A). If it is positive add shims equal to that value to the existing pack of shims, if negative subtract shims equal to that value. Install the bearing race chosen as well as the selected of shims in the now cover using then the j 42170 and a hydraulic press. Clean the sealing surface of the o-ring on the Differential cover and also clean the sealing surface on the Differential housing, then fit a new o-ring to the Differential cover and clip the cover to the Differential. Fasten the Differential cover retaining bolts to 28 nm (20 lb ft). Mount the axle seal into j 46405 in the diff cover and complete the filling with the proper fluid and topping the rear axle Differential to level and reinstall the right rear Muffler and the right rear wheel-drive shaft.
