How to replace the rear brake disc on JH5 and JH6 on 2010 Chevrolet Express 2500?

Start your work by releasing the parking brake and securely lifting the vehicle before replacing the rear Brake Disc on models jh5 and jh6. Take off the tire and wheel unit before placing markers on the disc to show its position in relation to the hub. Push the brake caliper down with a c-clamp to inspire the pistons to return and permit you to unfasten the caliper. Mount heavy mechanic wire under the brake caliper to shield the hydraulic hose system from harm. Take off the brake caliper unit along with its bracket keeping the hose attached. When possible, remove the disc retaining pushnuts. In case you need more assistance, strike the disc gently against the hub with a deadblow hammer. When the disc proves hard to take out use j46277 disc removal tool together with j-2619-01 slide hammer and adapter to help the process. Check the park brake components for damage and replace affected parts. Clean both surfaces between the hub/axle flange and disc using wheel hub and disc resurfacing kits j-42450-a and j-41013. Install the disc inside the correct position and return both caliper pieces to their original location. Clean and apply threadlocker product gm p/n 12345493 (Canada 10953488) over the caliper bracket bolts before installation and tighten them to 200 nm torque. After the wheel and tire are back in place use the brake pedal carefully to push and release while no engine power is running to place the brake caliper pistons. Put new brake fluid into the master cylinder reservoir and enable pad and disc contact with a burnishing process when replacing or resurfacing the disc.
